Cracked Stump Lamp

This lamp from designer Duncan Meerding is a real eye-catcher. It is weather resistant and therefore suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. You quite often see logs being used as tables or chairs. However, Duncan Meerding’s approach turns the log into a lamp. Yellow LEDs illumiate the log from the inside and light disperses through cracks in the timbre. The ‘STUMP’ is a multipurpose object which can be used as chair, table or simplay as a creative lamp. This Design was the winner of the Best Sustainable Design at The Edge 2014. The raw material is resin, which is a decorative floor lamp.
